Activity itinerary

We will start exploring Salamanca with a visit to its majestic Cathedral, an architectural complex that merges the New and Old Cathedral, taking us through Romanesque and Gothic art. We will continue to the University of Salamanca, one of the oldest in Europe, famous for its Plateresque facade and academic legacy. We will marvel at its historic classrooms and look for the famous lucky frog on its facade. For lunch, we will pause at a local restaurant where we will enjoy typical dishes such as hornazo, chanfaina or grilled meats, accompanied by a local wine. In the afternoon, we will head to Avila to tour its medieval walls, one of the best preserved fortifications in Europe. The towers and battlements offer spectacular views of the city and its surroundings. Along the way, we will discover the history of Ávila and the heritage value of its walls. This trip between Salamanca and Avila brings together history, architecture and culture, revealing the splendour of two of Spain’s most fascinating cities.
