At 8:00 am meet your guide and driver at your hotel
This morning, we travel to Pre Rup Hindu Temple, built as the state temple of Khmer King Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction.
9:30 am - 10:30 am
Next stop, you will visit Banteay Samre, built by Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century. It is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style. Named after the Samré, an ancient people of Indochina, the temple uses the same materials as the Banteay Srei. Your expert guide will take you around the complex, and you will learn about the history and symbolism of the temple.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Continue your journey to visit Banteay Srei. Along the way, you will have a chance to stop at a palm sugar village where the locals produce sugar from palm juice. Palm sugar is becoming more popular in local cuisine and is taking over from traditional white sugar.
12:30 pm -2:30 pm
You will have lunch at the local restaurant and continue to Banteay Srei, where your guide will take you around the complex and tell you about the history of the temple. Ask as many questions as possible to ensure you get all the information about the place you are visiting. As the day heats up, we drive back to your hotel.
