Start your tour by making your way to our dive centre, located inside Blue Kay Ecocabañas and Beach Club, which boasts Mahahual's most beautiful beach, ideal for children.
Our staff will provide you with snorkel gear, making sure it fits. A briefing will follow, explaining safety protocols and providing an introduction to Mesoamerican reef life. There are high possibilities to see turtles and sea rays as they are used to respectful interaction. Our guides will give you the guidelines to keep it so. Please, express any concern or assistance request at this point and the staff will be happy to help.
Fresh water and coffee is available at the dive shop. A fruit snack will be provided on the boat, after snorkelling.
You will spend one hour in the water, plus ten minutes' boat ride in each direction. Snorkel tours are guided and conducted inside the reef lagoon, which is sheltered by a reef crest and has an average depth of 6 feet. The snorkellers visit several coral heads teeming with life, among sandy and grassy patches where sea turtles are commonly seen and, some days, rays wander.
