This is an amazing journey from the present to the past and from the city to the Bedouin Arabic Life, from Salalah city, you will go to the desert and explore the Arab Bedouin culture and life. The desert is a world in itself. The drive on the desert is very different from the road journey. Enjoy a traditional Arabian desert dinner under the starry sky.
A memory of the life time awaits you there in Empty Quarter Desert, which is the largest sand dunes in the world. Sand dunes bashing, Sand boarding and meeting camels are the limelight of the tour. Also in the tour you will see The Lost city of Ubar, a visit that will take you in the past. A visit to Wadi Dawkah, a Frankincense Trees Park and UNESCO Heritage site, is also included, this tour is only available from January to May and October to December each year. For the months of June, July, August and September this tour is not operated.

Dhofar Governorate (Pass by)
The ride from Salalah City after your complimentary pick up will be through the amazing and beautiful mountains of Dhofar. The view of Salalah city is fascinating from the height on both the journey towards the desert and on the way back. When you are coming back from the desert, you can see the night view of the city and all lights will be visible.
Wadi Dawkha

Wadi Dawkah is on the northern Side of Salalah and is a UNESCO Heritage site. Here there's a large natural garden of Frankincense Trees, which are the source of Dhofari Frankincense. There are more than 1200 Frankincense Trees in the wadi. Sign board is placed at the main entrance of the park and explain how the tapping of sap is carried out. Each tree yields three to four kilogrammes of luban (frankincense) each season. Dhofari Frankincense are the best in the world.
Thumrait

Will Pass through the town of Thumrait, which was famous as a Bedouin settlement. This town is on the northern side of Salalah City and is one of the wilayat of Dhofar. Will have a dinner stop in this town on the way back.
The Lost City of Wubar

The Lost City of Ubar is a UNESCO World heritage site. The ruins of Ubar have been found in the villageknown as Shisr in Dhofar Governorate in Sultanate of Oman, around 3 hours’ drive from Salalah and approximately 55 kms from the main road of Thumrait. When it was discovered back in the early 1990’s, it has been named as one of the greatest discoveries at that time. Archaeological excavations suggest this site was involved in the incense trade in the past, most probably for the inland trade. Ubar disappeared into the desert sands. It’s even been dubbed the “Atlantis of the Sands.” This legendary ancient kingdom, known as Ubar, was said to have existed in one of the most inhospitable places on earth

The Empty Quarter (known as Rub al Khali in Arabic) in Dhofar Region of Oman is the main destination of the tour, which is one of the best places in the world to experience desert. You will be taken to the Empty Quarter to experience the biggest sand desert in the World. You will meet camels there as well. Here there will be driving and rambling / trekking on fascinating sand dunes. Sand boarding will be offered. Sunset will be seen on the desert sand.
