What you can expect

Take a full-day trip to visit the Sanctuary of La Verna, located in the commune of Chiusi della Verna, in Tuscany. It is this place where, in 1224, St. Francis of Assisi is said to have received the stigmata.

On your trip, you will be provided with return transport from your starting point. After an approximately 2-hour trip, arrive at the sanctuary, where you will have 4 hours of free time. Here you may explore the area on top of Mount Penna, and stop at the local convent to learn more about why the site is a place of pilgrimage. In the afternoon, you will be transported back to your hotel.
In the afternoon visit of The Birthplace Museum of Michelangelo Buonarroti, the castle of Caprese Michelangelo; it consists of three main buildings, the Palazzo del Podestà, Palazzo Clusini and the Corte Alta, and a garden with outdoor exposure.
