We will board the minivan and depart towards the Castel del Monte where we will meet a local tourist guide who will lead us to the discovery of the octagonal castle, a UNESCO world heritage site. The octagon embodies the union of two geometric shapes, the circle and the square, one symbolising the heaven and the other the earth. You will hear the history and the fascinating life of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia and his wives. Even though the reason as to why the castle was built is not clear. This castle has been studied over the years so as to understand its history and real use. Even today, it still fascinates visitors, scholars and those curious. It will never cease to surprise us.
