had the Botham suite. check in was smooth. Molly was fantastic, and very helpful. id say the room would benefit from a deep clean, not a general tidy. by this I mean skirting, doors etc. its an old hotel, and goes with the aesthetic perhaps.
breakfast was really nice.
pool was very warm.
I booked this stay without really looking too much into it. On arrival, driving up the driveway towards the car park, the view of the hotel was lovely! The reception staff were also great, and gave us the key to the Cressy Marks Suite - we were shocked as we hadn’t looked at photos etc on booking (it was a rushed one for us). We walked in, and it was beautiful. I wished that we could have stayed a couple more nights, the room seemed to go on for ever, with fantastic views, sash windows and more than enough storage space! The walk in shower could have fit a family in it was that big! The lighting has modern touch-switches, and a good heating & cooling ventilation system. It was clean, well stocked, with great furniture and we had a comfortable nights sleep! I am already looking to book a return visit to ensure I can appreciate and make use of all facilities!
I stayed one night, I forgotten my phone charger, swimsuit & dress when I checked out. I sent a message to the hotel, still waiting for response. Overall, excellent stay
The hotel was lovely. Clean, comfortable and lots of space. We had dinner and breakfast there and the meals were great and the staff friendly. Lovely groubds too.
The location was great being a 10 minute drive to the Harry Potter experience.
One night stay on second floor of old Manor House. Note- no lifts and it’s a lot of stairs!
The room was generally clean however the shower caddy was on the floor instead of fitted to the wall, the shower door was broken on arrival and we had to repair to make it close fully, and the general hallway had some dust /dirty to the carpet/wooden areas. The bed itself, whilst comfy was very squeaky which meant every time I moved my husband woke and vice versa. We intended to use the pool but it was the other end of the facility and therefore felt too far to walk so we opted not to in the end!

We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child. The room itself was plenty big enough but the sofa bed was not big enough really for 2 people.
The light in the bathroom did not give off any light at all, we reported this to reception aswell as the TV not working , nothing got sorted whilst our 3 night stay.
We only had enough towels for 3 people but this was soon rectified.
Cleanliness was ok, we did have lots of cobwebs in the room.
Breakfast was delicious, good variety.
Beautiful place and grounds.
I liked that it had the fountain from Harry Potter. It was spacious and big. It had all of what a hotel needs. The pool was clean and warm and it was weird that know one was there. A beautiful stay and a beautiful view. I will stay hear again.
Location of the hotel was fantastic & only 20 minutes walk from Kings Langley train station, the garden was a pleasant place to sit either read or have something to eat or drink. The restaurant was friendly & the Salmon Tagliatelle was wonderful.
The staff were very helpful and polite. The food was good and we had no issues being served. The rooms however, although tidy, could have done with some TLC. We had paid for a room with aircon and that unfortunately didnt work. The shower had a fault wereby it didnt keep a constant temperature and fluctuated from being the temperature you wanted to scalding hot. To be fair to the hotel they did offer another room to shower etc in the morning, but as we were only staying for a single night we didnt want all the drama at the time.
