Another trip to Melia Alicante
Sea view and corner room. Sea view means cooler room facing dawn. Corner rooms are bigger. Quiet and clean. Comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. Effective air conditioning and a splattering of English tv channels. As always the extensive, quality breakfast in the large, bright, corner dining room with fabulous beach and sea views did not disappoint. Hotel is not cheap but it is a real treat.

This property was so central to both the beach and restaurants. It was very stylish, clean and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Only down side was the pool got very shady and caused people to hog the sun beds in the sun. It was a bit stressful. There was even an argument!

Great hotel option for staying in central Alicante, walkable to the centre of the city and also on the beach! Hotel staff were all lovely, so helpful. We upgraded to a room on the level, which was a junior suite as we were a group of 3 adults, this room was brilliant, lots of space, 2 balconies and 2 bathrooms - I would definitely recommend. The lounge included in the level has free flowing wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee and tea all day which was great and snacks throughout the day with tapas in the evening and an open bar for 1 hour in the evening - food and drink was all really good quality. Only thing to note is that the pools are quite cold and the main pool is very shaded so there is a bit of a race for sunbeds in the sun but this could have been partly due to the time of year we were there and this would not stop me returning to stay again as the rest of the hotel was so good.

Nice view. Hotel is ok, rooma are a bit dated Worst service ever. Reception staff are quite rude and certainly lazy when you ask for any kind of assistance. Restaurant staff are equally lazy. Youbhave to wait a very long time dor basic food or a drink at the pool bar.

The hotel in general was good but very badly designed when it comes to the pool and solarium area as the pool is in the shade almost all off the time and the sun deck is shaded most of the time. The areas are blocked by the Melia hotels own building due to the design of the structure.

We normally stay in Meliá hotels
 we hadn’t been here before, we absolutely loved our stay. We had booked the balcony sea view , room was lovely but balcony too small for us, we paid to upgrade to the suite, loved it. (You get what you pay for i suppose) I don’t understand the bad reviews, we found everything perfect for a 4 star hotel, room, food, checkin & out smooth, staff at reception, food & bar staff all very cheery
. That was in the level so don’t know about the main reception, bars & restaurant. Only negative is the pools, too small & shaded. But the beach is literally 30seconds away. Also I don’t think you should pay extra for breakfast in a suite
.lots of ppl don’t even have breakfast including myself
