This was a highly rated hotel, but it was a lackluster experience. The walls were super thin and you could hear the neighbors on both sides, the room itself was dirty with cobwebs and dirt. Was expecting more based on the price and photos. Thankfully the location was in a great area with restaurants, transportation, and ease of walking places. Overall not an awful place, but I would ease on the side of caution if you are looking at this place for a stay.

The room was dirty, I told the manager and was told I would get a refund if I checked out a day early as I wanted another hotel and to refund me for my parking but never received anything. They are avoiding my calls and messages. Very poor service and I got scammed out of my refund. Very disappointed

Our room did not look like the picture and we were in the farthest corner, however it was clean and did suit our needs. We appreciated the staff at checkin & checkout was also good. The area outside, as with most of the city area was a bit dirty. It was convenient to Vondel Park and some of the attractions so we were happy to be in the area despite the street cleanliness.

We had a fantastic stay at Grand Hotel. The tram made the hotel so easy to access from anywhere in the city. The room was great and view from the penthouse was amazing! Staff were very accommodating and sorted out a cot etc for our baby. We’d love to be back!

Over priced and disappointing. Don’t let the booking pictures fool you. This hotel is not any more than a 2/3 star. Very uncomfortable poorly made bed. Shower soaks the bathroom floor. Noisy and staff seem absolutely miserable. I would not recommend to anyone I like.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Room was clean and well appointed with everything you'd expect. Location was just within walking distance to the centre but also well served by transport (trams) close to volder park, and small independent shops and restaurants

The hotel has probably seen better days, as it's a little tired and pricey (Amsterdam is not cheap for accommodation) but it was a good location, just outside the centre and walkable. There are regular trams a few minutes away. We stayed in the large penthouse and it was good for what we required, with a large too floor patio overlooking towards the centre. Staff are great and helpful. Even though it's a bit tired, I'd still recommend staying.

Very stressful parking and check-in situation. Even though we found the parking complex associated with the hotel, they would not give us the code to park first. We almost got in multiple accidents having to back out and illegally park while we had to get the parking information in person. We then had to go back to check in. Mattress flopped over the side of the bed.
