Beautiful property, staff great and helpful, location excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. Our room was a great size - I did notice that some of the rooms were smaller so just be aware of that and consider it when making your reservation. There is a small, but adequate gym, which was also great. They do not serve dinner, per se, but there is a good "bar menu" that is great for light fare. I recommend this hotel and I will stay there when I return to Amaterdam

My teenage son and I enjoyed staying at this joyfully decorated hotel. From the candies in the room to turtle motif slippers, the hotel has personality! I enjoyed reading in the library, and my son liked the snacks. The beds were comfortable and the temperatures could be adjusted easily in the room. Hot water was hot with good water pressure. The younger staff at the front desk were friendly and helped us with the restaurant reservations. The only bad thing we have to say is that the hallway (but not the room itself) had bad odor sometimes that I could not identify. The the breakfast buffet itself was good, but the maitre d looked a bit tired? For those with heavy luggage, there are 3 steps into the hotel, without a ramp that I could see.

This uniquely decorated property is well kept and the room overlooking the canal was beautiful. Staff was helpful. Bar has some food (great fries) but breakfast is pricey. Close enough to Dam Square & Anne Frank Haus to walk, and Van Gogh museum is an easy tram ride away.

Beautiful hotel overlooking canal. Location is nice. Active area but not to crowded like closer into Dam Square. Short walk to all the hot spots. Little longer from the train station, but we did it with luggage easily. Water and snacks in the library. Rooms are small but functional. Would return.

Great location, very good service and very nice room. However we where on a first floor and the room was very noisy at night/early morning which was unpleasant for a good sleep. Garbage truck passed around 6:30/7am each day!
