We were not able to stay at the hotel. We cancelled our trip due to the coronavirus. In fact, US citizens are not even allowed in Amsterdam right now. We reserved non-refundable rooms, and no exception has been made for the virus or the fact we aren't allowed entry into The Netherlands. My daughter made a separate reservation for the same time period and also for non-refundable rooms, however she did get a refund. We had planned to come next summer instead and stay at this hotel, but we will not be visiting your hotel after all.
The location is perfection - just out of the roaring city and right next to the park :) The room was modern and comfortable, however there is no curtain/door for the shower so water goes everywhere... and no hooks or rails to hang up your towels to dry. The bathroom becomes cumbersome to get ready in post-shower.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I enjoyed the decor in the building, everything is very clear and organised in the lobby. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, sincere and the bedding and towels were clean in the room. The bed itself was a dream! My only issue was that in the room none of the overhead lights worked but due to only staying a night I didn't mind using a lamp instead

I stayed on the 4 floor which means it was refurbished, my daughter stayed on the basement which was very old and very very small room. Breakfast overpriced for a 3* hotel €15 each.
Easy check in friendly staff lovely lobby. Room was small but cozy had no issues with cleanliness had a pleasant stay overall, great location infront of the park and walking distance to many things including shops, restaurants, museums, tram stops and much more!

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Liked the decor, comfort of bed was nice! Didn’t like size of room and amenities were never stocked up by cleaners (eg towels, coffee machine facilities)
Very cozy place! Our room was very small, but we just stayed one night so it was not a big deal. As in other reviews, the shower is open to the rest of the bathroom so put down a towel to keep the water from running everywhere! Our room was on the main floor and it was a bit noisy at night from people at the bar. The location is excellent. Good value.

Room so-so, broken bed side lamp, and >60 tv channels but not a single Dutch one?!
Hotel Piet Hein was in perfect location to experience Amsterdam within walking distance and access to public transport.
The hotel was modern, staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel room had comfortable beds, TV and coffee making facilities, and the bathroom was lovely and modern. Hotel room cleaned and fresh linen provided daily.

disapointed
Disappointed way over priced and over charged on booking , charged in US dollars instead of N Z dollars three nights accomatation came to 800 Nz dollars it’s the worst hotel for the price I have stayed in the past eight months of travel for the price.
Told to contact booking company regarding the over charged rate.
No help from staff regarding this , the hotel it’s self is nice from outside and nice lounge and breakfast area but room small and very very average
An attractive hotel, excellently located for our visit to the Rijksmuseum. There's also a good Indonesian restaurant nearby for rijstafel. Smart shops in the nearby streets.
