My room had hair- others hair- on the toilet, bath towels and on shower floor; it also had stains (looked like makeup) all over the pillow case. I took photos when I got into my room, showed the Supervisor who told me she could downgrade me or upgrade me with a charge. We asked to speak to the Manager and requested a full refund. After a 3 HOUR exchange (excuse the pun), we received a refund and booked a different hotel (having to, of course, pay more money). Terrible service- check in was a nightmare, disorganized and no sense of urgency on hotel staff's part. Is unfortunate because the location, although very busy and noisey on Damark, could be a better experience. The Exchange Hotel needs a lot of work for the price they charge and the positives they claim for their hotel. The only positive that came about was that after 3 hours of patience and negotiations, we received a full refund on a non-refundable room. This was a result of "threatening" Visa policy and consequences they could incur. After a 9.5 hours flight, this was a HUGE pain in the ass.
