Enjoyable Stay but not perfect
We really enjoyed the vintage vibe. Lobby was beautiful and the elevators were cool, even if they were unreliable. Check in was less than ideal. No rooms were ready and no planning was done to deal with the lobby filled with waiting families. There's so much they could have done to distract from the situation, yet nothing was done. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. The Claridge is connected to Bally's, so you can walk through to the boardwalk, beach, and beach bar. Everything is within walking distance. We never needed our car till check out. Parking was expensive though and hotel does NOT validate. We did not use the pool or gym, but they looked standard. Archade room looked fun. Good size and music pumping. The rooftop lounge was comfortable, staff friendly, and view was awesome. If you want coffee in the morning, go to Starbucks in the lobby. Don't waste your time going to DD at Bally's.

The hotel staff didn’t come clean our room and we constantly had to call the front desk to get clean towels. An elevator wasn’t working and the other elevators were taking forever to move because there was a convention. The hotel did not seem prepared for the convention crowd. The elevator leading to the rooftop bar wasn’t going upstairs and the rooftop bar smelled bad. I think this hotel needs a deep cleaning and an upgrade.

My family called at 12 noon to see if any rooms were available for early check-in. I was told to call back later . At 2 PM I called was told rooms are being cleaned. I also called at 3 waited in line at 4 & 4:30 & 530 & 6 and was finally given a key at 645PM. Everytime it was the same answer . ROOM WAS BEING CLEANED. Over 10 families had the same issue . The staff were not prepared the HOTEL WAS NOT READY FOR GUESTS!! not a single time in these instances I was we told by staff we are SORRY !! For this terrible inconvenience! Also my name was spelled as Lamed Jalili in the system and they said Expedia made this mistake !?! The next day we asked for bath towels and cleaning crew said they did not have any just small hand towels available. We picked up trash from under our bed from previous guests and the bed was miserable and I could believe myself that I had paid $450 for this hotel . The elevator system is extra slow and we waited over 5 min to ride it! The staff litterly said nobody will receive any compensation no free breakfast no dinner !?!? After complaining I was told my resort fee will be waived and I could CHECKOUT LATE !! Worst customer care imaginable. I expect a full day refund from CLARIDGE hotel and they should shutdown immediately if they can not care for their staff and more importantly their guests

I have been to this hotel 3 times now and this past stay was atroshis. First off, the parking garage and hotel seem to be two seperate areas because you will need to take an elevator to the second floor in order to check in (and the parking is not free or comped) and the actual hotel elevators (there are about 6 of them and 24 floors) are half or more broken or do not work. You call one and will simply wait for easily 10 minutes depending on where you are and the higher up you are, the more stops you’ll make cramming in with strangers and their bags. Also there are only 2 elevators that will reach the roof top bar (if they both work, you’re lucky). That has been the normal for all 3 stays but it’s a hotel and does just that for a night in AC. This past time was an issue in itself. I went with a couple people and booked one room with the ocean view. We get there, check in and head up to a room to find there our key works fine but there are people still in the room, resulting in a door slammed on my face. Head back down to the lobby (waiting forever for an elevator) to wait online to get rechecked in (the people never checked out of that room apparently?) so we get another floor room. We head up there to put our bags down and they two beds were not made and didn’t even have sheets on them. Call room service and they make us go back down to finally get a room that’s normal. If it wasn’t for the nice people at the desk, we would of left because those elevator waits are not short

No information of the hotel is given by the front desk. They couldn't honor any request we made. I have a downsyndrome boy who have height fobia. I requested them to give us a lower floor room instead they gave us high floor. We couldn't sleep three nights.
