Pleasant Stay
Nice stay in a very trendy hotel. Dining options were a bit confusing but its close to the music centre & there is a nice river walk and breakfast options nearby. It has a pool (too small to swim in) and a roof bar to watch the bats emerge from inder the bridge. They didn't show.

Location is amazing. The hotel dining options, lobby, and pool are all wonderful! The rooms were just your average hotel room. We stayed in a lakeside king and had stained carpets, an AC outflow that dripped directly into the shower (this was clearly designed this way on purpose - ew!), a dirty towel on our first day, just overall a dated and semi unclean feeling room. There was a broken elevator, which left only 1 working and it took no less than 5-10 minutes every time you wanted to go up or down. Housekeeping was slow and it took about 45 minutes for them to bring the towels we requested on a day they missed our room for service. We were so excited to stay here, but unfortunately left feeling like we wished we’d booked elsewhere for our anniversary weekend.

Perfect hotel for ACL
Excellent hotel in downtown Austin. Very close to many great eating and shopping options. The pool is a highlight and we spent most of the days there. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable beds, nice views, and a good sized bathroom. There are a few food and drink options in the hotel. The actual food and drinks we had from each place were great, Alfred, Arlo Grey, P6 and Vera Cruz. The service from the three restaurants (not Alfred the coffee shop) on the other hand was abysmal. Unfriendly, avoiding eye contact, zero sense of urgency or attentiveness, rolling eyes when you asked for a straw or napkin. Drop and go then the tip prompt comes and the expectation is 22%? It was disappointing to say the least. There was one server in Arlo Grey who ran our food who was the opposite of those things and represented what service should be. But in general the staff at the restaurants were disappointing. The hotel staff at the front desk were always great though. Made an effort to make you feel like a welcomed guest. I will definitely come back to the hotel but might avoid the restaurants. I didn’t want the rating of the hotel to be impacted by the restaurants so I’ve kept at a 5.

Loved the LINE. Not only was it beautiful and filled with a wide variety of amenities, but when I contacted concierge staff about a special request before our stay, they were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make it happen.

The LINE is one of my favorite Austin hotels to date. I have gone to ACL every year for the last 10 or 11 years (except Covid which ones of course). It’s a convent walk to Zilker and downtown, fabulous service and great accommodations.

Large hotel in a very busy, but convenient location; easy access to walking trail; The hotel itself is dark, dark halls, low level lights and the walls look tired; the rooms were designed by a decorator, very upscale and slick, but very inconvenient; not enough drawer space; large room was very tight to access the small closet; room safe mounted at the floor level was a challenge to use; shower were half glass door, coffee shop in lobby for coffee; but no really restaurants to dine in for breakfast. All in all, this is a nice but tired hotel and fine for an overnight stay but not recommended for more than a night or two.
