Great hotel!
Hotel was beautiful and right on the lake. The views are great and the room very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was very good and service was great. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyable single night stay
Hotel staff were very friendly and very professional on arrival. The room was cleaned to a high standard. We had a lovely view of the lake. The hotel requires an element of modernisation, but this didn’t detract from our stay. The breakfast was varied and good for us.

i liked the breakfast buffet. the rest was a disaster. The first floor is old and broken down, not to say was dirty too. They need to change the carpets everywhere...the ground floor is deceiving because it is in relity pretty, however the rest of the structure remains stuck in the 1800 The pool is ok but was not opened the only sunny day we were there...

Lovely location,hotel was supposed to be 4star but I would say 3 star, it needed some TLC some of the staff were a bit miserable and the young bar man was very nice I’m sorry I don’t know his name

Poor service and poor facilities. Staff cold, no baggage service, room has 3 lamps, only one working, air condition control broken open - cannot adjust temperature, room telephone has no instruction for dialing out or calling reception, room service has no menu in the room and hi surcharge for room service, no coffee in the room and late cleaning service. Room is not insulated, can hear the family next door talking and playing late. Pool is far and uphill and closes early, don't wear elegant or loose sandals, wear running shoes for hiking uphill :). Breakfast by the busy main street. Staff confirmed the reservation to transfer breakfast to be on the lake at Hotel Milano but it's not true. It's not accepted there.

Great staff! Basic but good value
Firstly, the staff and service very good and very friendly and a special mention to Gioberto on the bar who worked hard to make sure everyone was looked after.The staff are the Hotel’s best asset 😀. We had some issues with a faulty air conditioning unit which they did swap out and addressed it very quickly. Unfortunately the new one didn’t work either but at least they tried. Overall the public areas are quite nice and we are in the restaurant one night which was good and not too pricy. There isn’t really many places to sit comfortably inside during the evening. They could do with making this a little more comfortable and welcoming and people would stay in the bar more. Overall the rooms were clean but very basic but to be fair for the price and location, this was the compromise you paid. Again compliments to the staff!!

A bit jaded, and needing some TLC
Accommodation needing modernisation, particularly room bathroom and balconies. Air con was very weak and hardly aerated the room at all, so sleep poor in high 30 degree temperatures. Hall carpets are worn and threadbare, uninviting first impression. Bar area is clinical, no ambience indoors and one barman on duty, so service poor. Outdoor seating area has fake grass, and mosquitoes were everywhere in it, resting, then biting, meaning you couldn't sit out in the evening. Swimming pool has no filter system in use, and looked greasy and dirty from suncream? Night porter unapproachable and seemed disinterested in the patrons. Breakfast and dinner were good. Maître D / Sommelier very knowledgeable. Best staff member, Rohan, the Maintenance Man, a true gent and very helpful.

Fabulous service and food
Unbelievably great service from the front desk Paula and Marta—— incredible aid with info, visit, getting around and solving a problem with my booking with an elderly relative in the most unbelievably helpful manner. Really great. Thank you. The breakfast is absolutely first rate every single day. The staff are so great they got a bottle to say thanks when I left. Really worth the money and a great place to stay, have a break and and visit the Lakes, local places, Milan and Switzerland.

Rooms were not clean. Mold in bathroom. Air conditioning did not work properly. Common areas were not clean. Everything was dated (beds, sofas, chairs). Definitely not a $175 per night hotel. I stay in hotels usually 25 to 30 nights a year and this was the worst in my life.

Our particular room was superb but that was because it was very big and had an excellent covered balcony. Most rooms are not like that. The hotel was old and a bit tired and the cleaning was no more than satisfactory. But we enjoyed it there and had no complaints.
