The lady on reception was very rude upon check in. We had 2 rooms and she couldn't find the other booking but was rather ruse when we were trying to give other names for the booking. We eventually found the correct name for the 2nd booking. We had originally booked twin rooms but one room was a double with a cot. We were told that this would be sorted but it wasn't so 2 males had to share the double bed.

We arrived early morning so we safely had our bags stored for the day. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was friendly and welcoming. Our room later was very clean, compact but had everything we needed for one night stay. A great shower with a comfy bed along with tea and coffee making facilities. They had even put a suprise birthday cake in the room and gave us 2 free drinks at the bar to celebrate my Daughters 21st. The hotel is very modern inside and in a perfect location which felt safe for us 2 young ladies. 10min walk to Euston and only 10/15min walk to Marylebone High street which has lovely shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitly stay here again and recommend it.

Hotel was amazing. Great location close to tube station and Regent’s Park. Staff and service was excellent. Sound proofing between rooms could be better. But overall, a great place to stay.

The Melia was perfect for our overnight stay in London. It’s located right in Camden near a lot of public transportation options and a walkable distance to Regent Park, London Zoo, and Camden Market. The area seemed safe to walk around at night and was relatively quiet. The hotel staff were friendly and check-in/out was very simple.

Staff pleasant generally, rooms OK with a few small maintenance issues (pointed out to them). Received two phone calls from room service about an order (at 8am - they got the wrong room but asked me why my room number is shared. )

Too noisy to sleep, bad AC and polluted air
Looks good on the photos but terrible in practice. The hotel is on a very busy road, which would be fine if their windows were properly noise insulated and their AC worked. We had to try three different rooms before finding one where you couldn’t hear the ambulances, police cars, buses and even just people slamming their car doors at the hotel entrance. If you want ventilation (and until their AC works, you will) then you have to open your window to get air from one of the three most polluted roads in London. To top it all off, you can hear noise from the adjacent room as if it was your own. While lying in bed, I could hear the mobile phone games from my neighbor… adding isolation to the connecting door could fix this but according to a receptionist, this noise is inevitable. Service wise, some of the personnel were helpful in trying to find solutions while others were very much uninterested. Reception is understaffed and you can forget about connecting to them from your room phone. After holding for almost 10 minutes, we decided to just go down to speak with someone. Which involved a touchpad elevator system that just displayed “can’t find elevator now please contact reception” Perks mentioned for VIP rewards members are not honored. Overall, a mess of a hotel that refuses to improve or even acknowledge its shortcomings. There’s no luxury in bad service, broken smart elevators and lack of sleep from preventable noise pollution.
