"We stayed overnight as part of my wifes birthday celebrations. The accommodation was absolutely first class and the food was superb."

"My stay was excellent, from start to finish my customer service was first class. From the night porter checking me in to the receptionist taking my bag back to the car nothing was too much trouble. The service was so genuine I didn’t feel I needed to ask for anything the staff offered. From making my breakfast late because I had a flat tyre on my mobility scooter and couldn’t get to the restaurant, to calling the greenkeeper who looks after the golf buggies to try and fix the scooter tyre, to helping me get in it back in the car. My room was changed to ground floor, the porter found me a doorstop so I could drive in and out of the room. Little things to some people, a huge help to someone like me. The only down side of my day was the fact the pool area was closed for renovation. The price was not reduced and I didn’t see that until I had booked. I book the vale because of the leisure facilities. When I saw it was closed I didn’t arrive that afternoon but left it until late evening. Hopefully I can get a pass to come in for a day when it’s open again. I was glad I did come late as the South African night porter was exceptionally helpful and we chatted about rugby. It felt like the staff there were a happy family and as a guest I was one of the cousins. I am glad I went back to staying at the Vale. Well done team Vale. "

"Ours was only a one night stay so i didnt have to catch my usual train home. Exceptional stay and are goibg to stay again. Could not fault nothing. The xmas lunch was on tbe pricey side but as a one iff was a treat. I should have mentioned to waitress that lunch although very tasty was lukewarm. No complaints from me otherwise "
