Additionally, there are several buses that you can catch periodically outside the arrival gates, and at least six trips per day are made by buses between the Naples airport and Sorrento. Alternatively, though it can be a bit difficult with lots of luggage, public transportation is actually a fantastic option because it involves a fun and scenic ferry ride across the Bay of Naples. Simply take a bus toward Acton-beverello or a short cab ride to Napoli Beverello, where you can then catch the Napoli Beverello–Sorrento ferry. It will cross the bay in about 45 minutes, and you can enjoy prime views of gorgeous cliffside homes on one side and Mount Vesuvius on the other.
