"Beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean cottage with everything you would need for staying in this beautiful part of Northumberland. Our host left provisions for tea/coffee and even some yummy shortbread biscuits. Everything is thought of, even blankets and towels for the doggies. We arrived late and our host had left a light on for us and even bought over extra bedding! The location is superb for local attractions and scenery for walks. The Percy Arms pub in the village is also worth a visit. We will definitely be booking again at this lovely cottage for a future stay. "

"The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. If you’re considering booking the Gate House, we heartily recommend it. We had a lovely escape, felt well looked after by the hosts, loved the hot tub and enjoyed the walk suggested in our welcome messages. "
