Glamping Tent with Covered Deck

The Glamping Tent at The Getaway on Ranger Creek is situated in a mostly-shaded area within our 18-acre wooded property. It faces the woods for privacy, and features 130sqft of inside space, plus another 130sqft of mostly-covered outside deck space.

**Please note the tent is not climate controlled. Autumn Evenings on the South Cumberland Plateau can be quite chilly **

The inside features a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress, unique lighting, bedside tables with lamps and USB charging ports, a dresser, a relaxing chair, a small refrigerator, and a small selection of books and games. An oscillating fan is also included.

Outside on the mostly-covered deck, you’ll find a comfortable L-shaped couch, a 2-person dining table, a wheeled storage island, and a foot-pump-operated 5 gallon sink (water refills upon request).

All utensils for cooking on the grill and for eating, plates, and bowls, are provided. Management at The Getaway on Ranger Creek will provide enough dinnerware and utensils for your stay, and when you check-out, you do not have to worry about washing dishes or utensils!

Beautiful Edison-style string lights cast a warm glow on the outside areas.

Down the stairs to the private woods-side of the tent is a nice fire pit (firewood is included or you can forage the nearby woods for branches and wood to burn). A provided propane grill will serve as a great way to cook your meals.

Guests of the Glamping Tent have 24-hour access to the Bathhouse. The Bathhouse is a leisurely 41-second walk from the tent, and includes two fully-appointed and private single-person
bathroom/showers. Towels are provided for all guests. The Bathhouse also features a fully-appointed coffee bar, with both traditionally-brewed coffee and Keurig coffee in multiple varieties, and hot chocolate.

The location of the Glamping Tent also allows guests to take a very short walk to the pond, where you can enjoy watching the friendly Muscovy ducks. Guests are welcome to explore our 18-acre wooded property, including several trails, a woodland pond, peaceful areas to sit and relax, 2 creeks which border the property, and a small stream.

The Glamping tent also features good reception from our free high-speed guest Wifi (usually over 75Mbps). Additionally, Verizon and AT&T have good reception in and around the tent.

**We have an EV Level 1 charger available upon request at no charge**

The Getaway on Ranger Creek is a unique 18 acre property in the heart of the South Cumberland Mountains, close to the fabulous new Coalmont OHV Park, Fast Farms MotorX, Greeter Falls, Foster Falls, and many other parks and recreation areas.. We have parking accommodations for truck and trailer, and a unique variety of units for you to stay and relax.

The property owners/managers live on-site. While they will be available for quick resolution of any of your needs or for any maintenance issues, they are not always physically on-site. They always strive to provide you with privacy and relaxation, so you’ll rarely see them, unless you need them!

Outside areas of our property are insecticide- and herbicide-free. However, our small flock of friendly Muscovy Ducks and a variety of chickens work very hard to keep the mosquito and tick levels to a minimum. You’ll be amazed at just how few mosquitoes you’ll encounter, especially considering that the property is in the Tennessee woods! Guests should note that our ducks and chickens are very friendly and may “hang out” in your general area if you are outside.

The Getaway on Ranger Creek offers free high-speed guest Wifi (usually over 75Mbps) throughout most of the property. Additionally, Verizon and AT&T have very good reception in most areas.

THE LOCATION
The Getaway on Ranger Creek is central to several amazing recreation, hiking, and entertainment areas. We are 11 miles from the Coalmont OHV Park, 11 miles from Fast Farms Motorcross, 19 miles from The Caverns concert venue, 7 miles from Greeter Falls, 13 miles to the Savage Gulf State Park, 12 miles to Laurel Falls, and 15 miles to the South Cumberland State Park.
We are only about an hour’s drive to Falls Creek Falls State Park, the amazing city of Chattanooga, and the beautiful Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro. If you prefer a driving tour, there are also several beautiful, curvy mountain roads nearby. Your hosts can give you advice and direction to help you plan your adventures, and be sure to visit www.MountainsOfAdventure.org for a full directory of the amazing variety of things to do nearby.

Pets and smoking/vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, including within/around any of our glamping units, parking or public areas.

Well done camping style
I stayed here to do some hiking in the area. My stay at the property was excellent well taken care of by property managers or owners of the property. The grill helped out a lot. You are in small towns in south central Tennessee (west of Chattanooga and Knoxville) grocery stores are not close by and are few and far between. Those points may make things difficult for you, come prepared.Restaurants maybe a drive also. Have time to visit piggly wiggly while you’re here. Bathrooms are camping style with a nice modern shower and toilet. Towels and washcloths provided. The biggest issue is bugs because you are essentially camping. If you have children or those upset by bugs you may have some trouble. I loved the fire pits they added a nice touch. I was fine after I adjusted to my surroundings and expections.

The “glamping” tent was awesome! We loved being in the woods without the work of camping. The bathroom a short walk away was very nice with great showers! The hostess responded quickly to our questions and offered unlimited wood for a campfire and coffee and fresh eggs for breakfast. It’s also close to waterfalls and hiking in the Cumberland Plateau. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Quiet
The location was quiet and away from traffic. We did hear a few neighbors dogs barking at night. The chickens were very entertaining to watch. The hosts are friendly and responsive.

Perfect little escape!
This place was amazing! The property was spacious around us and so peaceful. We loved the chicken and duck friends that roamed around so much!
