"I’ve stayed at this lodge twice, once in 2020 and now again in 2024. As someone who works for a 4-diamond hotel in downtown Chicago for the past 10 years, I’d like to offer my honest opinion. For what the property is both inside and out it’s a solid stay. The rooms are consistently clean, and I’ve never encountered any issues like trash etc... While the property might be a bit outdated, it’s important to keep in mind that you’re not staying in a high-rise hotel in Chicago or New York. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the parking is very convenient. The location, just off the expressway, is also ideal for easy access. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone, and I’ll definitely stay again in the future. A big thank you to the staff for making each stay pleasant. "

"The property was beyond my expectations! I remember it many years ago and wasn't sure how it would be. I found out while staying there that the old property had been torn down and rebuilt all new. The rooms were very comfortable. The property offered a wonderful patio with firepits a bar and restaurant on site. Matthew was very helpful answering my questions about it. We only stayed for a night but would definately stay there again if visiting Sewanee! Thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing stay!"
