Stayed here for 6 days.
My friend and I booked for a double room on the first day during our stay, however when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the double room was sold out and they only had single room (smaller and with one bed only). As it was already with the 24 hours checking-in time, I was UNABLE to cancel the booking online WITH A FULL REFUND. I tried to contact Hotels.com customer service, but my phone couldn't deal the international number provided by Hotels.com. I also wrote an email, but I only got a reply after 5 hours saying I need to call to cancel the reservation... This left me with no choice, thus we stayed in the single room.
In the next three days, we moved to a double room when it became available. But the hotel owner insisted us to pay him cash in-person rather than booking it online. It was more expensive, but in the meantime the hotel was not available for booking online anymore. We didn't want to move thus we had to pay him cash.
In the last day we found the booking page of this hotel had availabilities again and the price was the same as what we booked online at the beginning. I booked it for $7 in total including breakfast for two. However, the hotel owner was furious and he kept blaming us for booking online rather than paying him.... He asked for a higher price, why should we??? His madness continued until the next morning when we needed to checkout, he didn't give us breakfast until we requested, and it was nothing but a bread.
