We booked a week ahead of time and were 10 minutes from the hotel when they called and informed us that they overbooked and didn’t have a room for us. Then informed us that they booked us at a different hotel (without asking us) that had a lesser rating and is not somewhere we would have wanted to stay. We originally booked a king suite and the new hotel only had double regular rooms but Candlewood would not refund any money for this HUGE inconvenience. We also scheduled for Candlewood to shuttle us to the airport the next morning. They agreed to come and pick us up from the other hotel but the driver was almost 30 minutes late. Will never book with them again.

Good place to stay.
As always, staff is friendly and helpful. Good value for the money. I had to wait an hour for the shuttle from the airport. This is very unusual. I learned later they were having to use cabs because the van was in for repairs. Not too upset as this is not the norm for this hotel.

The room was large and well stocked. When we laid down to sleep, the utilities in the building were so loud, it sounded like a large lawnmower in the walls. It rumbled the bed just enough to be a perpetual wake up. It sounded like whatever motor kept kicking on was set against the beams of the walls and travelled through the bed. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. The kitchen was nice. Fine for anything but sleeping. The shuttle to the airport only runs on the hour.

Our main stay when flying out of DFW. Very close from property to airport. Less than 10 minutes. (6/7min on our last trip). They do also shuttle to the airport.

Due to flight cancellation, I made the hotel reservation last minute. Then, I called ahead to request their free airport shuttle. The driver arrived approx. 30 minutes later. Upon arrival, though, his shuttle was marked for a different hotel entirely. I asked for clarity but he didn't offer any so I chose not to get into his van. After he left, I called the hotel back and explained this. They apologized and stated they were actually borrowing a van from a different hotel. I responded with feedback that would have been helpful to know during my initial request. I asked if they could send the driver back to pick me up. They said they would. An hour went by and I called back for status. I was advised the driver should have already arrived and they would call his cell to check status. When they got back to me, I was advised to use a car share (Uber, Lyft) instead because the driver had chosen to pick up new arriving passengers instead. I was frustrated and asked them why he hadn't informed them earlier because I had been out there extensively at that point. They only apologized and repeated the suggestion that I take car share. Upon arrival to the hotel, I informed their front desk of my disappointment. It had taken over two hours for me to go less than 10 minutes from airport all because their driver decided I could wait. New/Different driver next morning was equally rude and noncommunicative but I got home eventually. Lastly, one of the room forks had hardened food stuck to it.
