Great location inside Death Valley National Park. Also very good steakhouse in the saloon. Negatives: very packed to the point of overwhelming a exremely friendly staff. Lines at check in and ice cream store were tough for some families with small children. But the ice cream was worth it as were the food arnrestaurants on site. Great view of mountains and a nice town square park.

Great location!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. The cabin is well built with good facilities. But the room feels dusty and beddings are not very comfortable. For us 5 adults, the price is a good deal~ maybe will stay here again for the convenient location.

Staying inside the park is the main reason I would recommend staying here. Death Valley is such a big park that staying outside of the park would have added too much time to make the beautiful sunrises. There’s a lot of potential in the property - it probably was great when it first opened, and it looks like one of the buildings was starting to undergo renovations, but in its current state it wasn’t the most comfortable stay.

À very unique property in the middle of no where. Nice atmosphere, staff very friendly . Yes it was expensive but when you see how remote it is I can understand why. The rooms could use some upgrades but absolutely nothing wrong with them. You are outside enjoying the beautiful landscape and scenery and night sky to care if it’s a bit outdated. Loved our stay

Could not have been happier with our stay! The room was awesome, the grounds just beautiful, and the location perfect for exploring and hiking. Last but not least the food at the Saloon was excellent and the bartender super friendly and helpful.

Good location. Property is old and a musty, faintly urine like smell was present in the room. You can hear the movements of people in the floor above you. Breakfast is buffet only and did not have much vegetarian options. Check in was easy.

There’s not a ton of options to stay within the park, but I am so glad we stayed at The Ranch. It is well kept and an affordable hotel. The grounds were very well maintained. There were a lot of eatery options. We ate at The Saloon and the food was very good. Our room was clean and spacious. There are multiple gift shops. The general store has everything. Their selection of Death Valley merch was better than the national park gift shop. There is a recreation court and pool heated by a hot spring. Unfortunately we didn’t try any of these fun activities because we only stayed one night. The location is perfect and close to all the sights and sees. The staff is extremely friendly and provide exceptional service. I definitely will stay here again and recommend The Ranch to those visiting Death Valley NP.

Location, location, location. Just the location makes this a great place to stay but the fact that it was clean, had great service, and I got it for a reasonable rate made it even better. Several food options that were reasonably priced. Shuffleboard, pickleball and other sporting options available as well.
