"Looking to buy a house in the Anacortes area and saw this beautiful accommodation nearby. The actual place was exactly as advertised and in my mind better than I expected. So peaceful and secluded right on the water. It has made it hard to find anything that compares. I will be back. "

"Had a lovely week with our cats; the work space was great because my spouse had to work for a lot of it. The house is close enough to both Anacortes and north Whidbey Island that exploring was easy even with work taking up some of the time. The house is lovely, cozy, and totally set up for cooking, enjoying the fire and hot tub (even in the cold). Our cats loved the sun and big open living room space; really appreciated the flexibility of being able to bring them! For those coming from further afar, just be aware that Dewey is in the region where Whibey air base practice flights fly over which are cool, but can be loud for pets (our cats get it much worse during SeaFair at home, so they only hid maybe once when it got closer than usual). The emus down the hill in the neighboring yard, as mentioned in other reviews, are a real treat :-). Highly recommend! Would go back in a heartbeat! "

"Outstanding experience from start to finish! Great for adults and families. House is extremely comfortable and has all the essentials and more. Exactly as advertised and great communication with host throughout. Communication:The host, Lucinda, was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire experience. She was extremely responsive, communicative, and helpful. She was very friendly as well! (Always a nice bonus when traveling)This ensured an easy and enjoyable trip! Property:The property is exactly as described in the listing with accurate pictures. The property and surrounding area exceeded our expectations. - Cleanliness:Property and accompanying amenities were clean. Its obvious the cleaning crew takes their job seriously and do a good job. Even the BBQ grill was clean!- Essential items:This house came equipped with significantly more than the basics - from additional tableware and highchair for kids to inside/outside entertainment and games. It was nice to have more than just the bare essentials available. Well thought out!Overall:The house is extremely comfortable, clean, and cozy. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to other adults or families. Great communication, friendly host, great views, and perfect location near Deception Pass.
