"While our trip was a short weekend getaway, this house was such a great stay for us. The house is spacious yet quaint and cozy. I really loved the attention to detail the owners put into it. Every bedroom had a set of phone chargers on each of the nightstands (huge for my son who forgot his at home). Hooks for your towels, a nook/slot for the remote so you don't lose it, hampers, a tea bar. It's those little details that make a stay more comforting. It rained while we were there so that was a bit of a downside but it just made for a cozier stay. "

"We stayed at this property for a week over Christmas in 2024 for a family celebration of Christmas and a very special Birthday. Chris was very easy to communicate with in advance of our trip and was there to meet us upon check-in. He even helped us unload the car as it was getting late and quite cold (for Floridians). The home was beautifully appointed (as in the photos), very comfortable and had plenty of space for 7 people who arrived over the first few days. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare Christmas dinner, and the beds were amazingly comfortable for everyone. Great cell service, beautiful views from every room and just a fantastic experience. Chris checked-in with us via text nearly every day to assure all was well, which was most appreciated. Several of the nearby towns are wonderful to explore such as Essex, Mystic and Stonington and if you have the time; Newport, RI. We highly recommend this property for both the aesthetics and functionality of the property as well as the care that Chris and Derick have taken in this lovely home."

"Definitely recommend! We have nothing but great things to say about our trip, starting with this rental apartment. It was absolutely clean, lovely and very interesting. Lots of cool details to this apartment, including the beautiful view of the harbor right outside the bedroom window with comfy reclining chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The grounds are also beautiful and the location was perfect, right in the center of town, with lots of charming shops and good restaurants within a short walking distance. A lovely, interesting, non-touristy town with very friendly people. We definitely enjoyed everything about our stay and will be back. The hosts were very friendly, considerate and outgoing. We're looking forward to our next trip back to Essex!"
