This is a lovely quiet place with beautiful sea views no road noise old and charming and lovely staff excellent food
I had a single persons room with a great rate but shower was very tiny , great flow though when i did sqeeze in !!
The 'Cellar Bar' was quaint if you like cellars and being served short measures. I had a pint of Guiness and when it came I asked if it could be topped up as when it had settled it was 4/5ths full. The arrogant waiter refused...which in this case was illegal.
Guiness is my preffered drink so I'm used to how it's served.
Won't be returning.
A beautiful setting with easy access to the beach. Quaint building with good dining areas and a lovely breakfast room. The food was superb with great choices for breakfast and truly tasty and well presented food for dining. Staff were universally friendly and helpful.
Situated just a few hundred meters from Chesil beach.
The staff are very helpful and breakfast is generous. Very good value for money

Weekend away for two
We’ve stayed at this Hotel several times however it’s getting a bit tired and needs skirtings mended , light pulls working and showers refreshed Carpet stained
The Hotel was clean, the room cleaned and new towels
Staff helpful and friendly
Menu not as good as previously- burgers. ???
Needs a refit
We have stayed twice now at the Manor House Hotel, and each time we have stayed we have both loved its quiet ambience and atmosphere. Whether its because it is a 15th century building, it has a wonderful peaceful feel to it. The bedroom we had was large, spacious and elegantly furnished. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the meals tasty and well presented. I love this place and hope to return again at some point.
We liked the style of the property, its situation with lovely garden area and view of the ocean. The facilities in the property were excellent with clean rooms serviced every day and very friendly staff.
Perhaps people who were serious walkers could be given an area to use for the storage of boots. Also, the lounge area could be furnished better to cater for people having to avoid poor weather.
People should also be made aware of the difficulty of walking on the shingle beach and the dangers of the steeply sloping fall to the sea,
The staff were lovely and breakfast very good. Even the beans were hot.
However the door as you go in to your room is shabby looking, as was the skirting boards. Carpet was stained and paint on the lights. It just needs some TLC. Such a pity when it has everything else. I think when it is classed as a manor you expect a bit better.
Saying all that the staff were lovely and the area beautiful.
Nothing is too much for you as a guest. Millie and Matthew run a very tight ship and it genuinely makes a difference. Don’t hesitate to book.

This was our 4th stay at the Manor House over the years. Loctaion still brilliant though terrace & lawns rather spoiled by the pub-style tables that have now been dumped all over the place.
I’d say it’s now more of a pub with rooms rather than a destination. Yes they’re well geared up for weddings and stuff but not for the discerning Dorset traveller. Food and decor all a bit tired.
Overall, disappointed. There are now many better places to consider.
