I have always loved the retro vibe of this hotel, but in my last visit the WOW factor was the staff, specifically James at front desk. He was kind, attentiove and and helpful. I look forward to staying again.

This was an old hotel that had been redone. It was very nice inside the room. Quaint. The bathroom was redone and was very nice. Took up most of the room, but it was still very nice.

I arrived at noon and was told “we’re not checking in now”. The guy at the desk was a little surly. When I came back at 3:30 there was another guy at the desk and he was very pleasant and helpful. The guy at the desk was great! The elevator is cramped and hard to navigate with luggage. The bathroom was cramped.

The room smelled musty, there was a window air conditioner to a fire escape and I didn’t think it was very safe. The decor was dark and so were the hallways. It did not make me feel safe. I checked out within 30 minutes of checking in

Great visit in Providence
I had a great stay at this hotel. If you’re looking for a chain hotel with no character, this is not it! The building has been updated but it’s an old building with lots of charm. The staff were amazing and attentive!

I wish the property would have indicated how loud the surrounding area was at night. We did not sleep a wink. Additionally the coffee bar was not in service during the hours they said it would be. Lastly, the shower is uncannily small. I was surprised to see such a small shower in a spacious bathroom. Would not recommend.
