Easy check in - 24hr front desk. Great location! Edinburgh castle is 15 min walk (lots of stairs!). Great options for food and things to see and do. Over all good experience

Loved staying at Apex City hotel. Staff are all welcoming and friendly. Room was good. Not fancy, but very clean and good. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is very clean and nice. It was more elegant than the room itself. Area is great. I liked being in grassmarket street and in the old town part. Many restaurants and cafes are close to the hotel for good breakfast or dinner in the evening. Overall, the hotel is very good and I would definitely come back in the future and stay in the hotel.

Had a terrible experience with management. Beds and pillows outdated. Zero amenities - you must walk down the street for any. Not worth the price. Much easier to stay outside of old town and take the hop on hop off bus and stay in a decent hotel. I will say the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Do not recommend. Edinburgh is a small city full of great hotels - unfortunately this was not it for me.

This hotel was very centrally located in the Grass market. We could walk to various spots including Edinburgh Castle. The staff was very helpful. I broke a bottle in my bathroom last night and was mortified. There are so many nice breakfasts places I wldnt suggest buying breakfast at hotel.

Everything was great! The only thing I would mention was the bed was quite firm. Everyone has different preferences, but this was verging on slightly uncomfortable. Perhaps if you’re sensitive to this, see if they have other softer mattresses available or if it’s for one night if you can make do. Thanks for everything!

Centrally located
The hotel is centrally located, but it’s also very quiet. One of the elevators was out of order throughout our stay, so it was always a wait to leave the room in the morning due to the elevator being packed. The room was quite outdated with not so clean carpet and the floor was uneven in one part of the room. The extra chair in the room had multiple stains and there was a dark red stain on the carpet. The service was excellent and we were given a heater within 10min of arriving since the heating in the room wasn’t working. I also stayed in Apex City of London and this hotel was run down compared to the London one. However, the bathrooms were clean and modern and price for the location was excellent.
