Stayed after an apartment fire in 2018 and it was wonderful. Great breakfast choices, super helpful staff put on a supper once a week, rooms were full. This time, garbage at the side door, couldnt be bother to put in the bin for 24hrs, pallet blocking an fire exit. Breakfast when they decided to put one on was 3-4 slices of bread, one day was thinly sliced apples and a cut up orange left over hotdogs, saw 6 croissants one day. Im sure none of it is fresh, cause no one eats there. The barbecue sat in the hallway, Manager parked in front of the door, no respect for his patrons needing to unload their luggage. His children were rude and disrespectful, while playing in the parking lot. Unfriendly staff. Never again, Should have read the latest reveiws, and booked somewhere else.

Waited for ablout 15 minutes for someone to check us in, so.e things were Not kept very clean. Missing coffee condiments. Was not told that doors are locked at midnight - or that the AC was controlled by the thermostat. My room was east facing and i was woken up by AC being off and it was hotter than Haities in my room. Couldnt sleep after that.

Have to call multiple times before getting through to reception. We called in advance to see if we could do an early check in, and were told over the phone that there was no early check in fee. Upon arrival, no one was at the desk, but there was a sheet with numbers to try calling. Again, had to call multiple times before someone answered. We were then told that there would be an early check in fee of $61.99. We advised what we were told previously about there not being a fee and the person we spoke to just said he would send someone down to check us in. When the reservations agent finally came to the front, she told us we would need to pay $30.00 for early check in fee which we eventually agreed to because we had spent the last 14 hours driving. When we got into the room, it was not overly clean, and there was a wrapper beside the bed with what looked like feces stuck to it. But because we had two dogs with us and we were tired, we just cleaned the room up ourselves. Considering it was the only pet friendly option in Redwater, I am not sure if we would return.

Paradise Inn and Suites
Paradise Inn and Suites Redwater AB May 2024 We were evacuated due to the Fort McMurray wildfire. We had to PAY upfront for the room. They do not do pre -authorizations. We had to pay from Tuesday till Monday upfront because they would not let us extend a day at a time. The evacuation ban was lifted on Saturday and we could go home. The hotel refused to refund any money for the 2 extra days that we did not use the room. Several families were in the lobby in the same situation. It is not their policy to refund under any circumstances. In my opinion this is insensitive and unprofessional to take advantage of family’s in a situation where they are displaced and having to pay out of pocket for an uncontrollable event.

I tried to check in , waited 40 minutes, no one in sight. Called both phone numbers - no one answered. Booked into a hotel down the street. Hotel called 6 hours later to see if I was still coming. Unprofessional

Second time we have stayed here and first time microwave had pizza left in it from another customer. This time there was used tissue left in bedside drawer. Coffee pods were limited. No extra toilet paper, Beds were placed on old mattresses to raise them up. This property needs some real TLC. I give this property 1 *
