"A clean and tidy room freshly painted. Kettle in the room. Bed was and old sprung mattress that bent in half and springs stuck in your back. Completely knackered. Comfy bed is basic essential. No check in information/instructions provide. No reception. Bathroom was fairly modern but shower was leaking and floor peeling off. Very bad stench as water backed up in sink and drain blocked. Common room and kitchen available to share if you want to make food. Central location 10 mins to train/town. Friendly helpful staff."

"This was my third trip to this hotel in as mNt weeks, Love staying here as everything is first class, rooms are well serviced everyday, friendly staff, and an excellent restaurant. Only one negative - used the leisure facilities for the first time this trip. Decided to have a steam in the street room, there was definitely a fault, despite being sat as far away as possible from the steam generator, both by lower legs are burnt from the intense head, the water on the floor was so hot it was painful to even walk across the floor. Only really noticed the burns next day when showering. "

"We attended a wedding reception at the hotel as well as staying overnight. The whole experience was a joy from the moment we entered the beautiful reception area, friendly staff, nicely positioned room with adequate refreshments. The food was superb. Would recommend to friends. "
