We recently stayed at the Seven Hills Hotel around 9/28/2024. Love the Hotel location. Walkable to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand bazaar and other touristy destinations in Sultanahmet. We even got upgraded to the 4th floor with a view of the blue mosque and the Bosphorus. The Room was spacious and elegant, we loved it. Now here are some cons to note. The hotel is extremely popular for the Seven Hills restaurant on the top floor. Our room, although quiet at night, was loud from the crowd above for most of the day. The elevators are small and there are no distinctions between outside visitors and hotel guests, it gets crowded fast and with luggage, no bueno. The staff is super friendly and helpful, but there is really no lobby area. We were confused when we arrived, it's just the desk for the concierge, outside a carpet store. Yes I recommend staying at this hotel, if the sole purpose is to visit Sultanahmet area. No if you wish a tranquil stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. I cannot take away from the staff working hard for guests. But management really need to revamp the chaos in the lobby to a more refine 4 stars hotel.

The property is in old town, it is an old building converted to a hotel. It is rated as 4 star hotel but I think it should be rated as 3 star hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful , most of them speak reasonable English. The view from the roof top restaurant is amazing. All and all is reasonable accommodation with easy access to most attractions.

Perfect spot for a trip to Istanbul!
Istanbul was a bucket list trip for us and the Seven Hills Hotel was the perfect place to stay. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants and the view from the rooftop restaurant was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helped us with anything we needed.

The reception area presents well, but from that point on what pretends to be 4 stars is in reality a one star hotel. We booked a premium room with blue mosque and Hagia Sophia views. Yes we could see them (or part of them) but definitely not what is portrayed on their web site. To get to the room (4002) we had to open a heavy fire door marked ‘staff only!’ The room itself was really sub standard. You couldn’t open one of the 3 very small wardrobe doors fully because it was too close to the bed. To turn on the electric kettle you first had to crawl underneath the desk and disconnect the plug for the fridge and connect the power cord to the kettle. My wife found it impossible to hang a dress in the (tiny) wardrobe because at best there was only enough vertical room to hang a shirt. Our room rate included breakfast which turned out to be a full Turkish Breakfast which comprised of 23 dishes. Trying to explain we didn’t want such an elaborate breakfast fell on deaf ears. We ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. The hotel appeared to rely on a reputation for having a great view from the top floor dining area. Around sunset it was inundated with the Instagram set all vying for the best position. Good luck if you needed to use the lifts to reach your room around sunset. Seven Hills Hotel is in a great location, but that’s about all. It’s tired and run down and dirty. I can’t recommend it.

Perfect location for walking to lots of the best things to do. Rooftop restaurant was truly amazing. The view from our room was incredible. A little loud between the restaurant and call to prayer but didn’t bother me. The hotel staff were very helpful even when they had no profit motive and were genuinely nice. Especially if you are new to Istanbul I would absolutely recommend this hotel and having seen a lot of others now I would stay there for future travel.

My friend and I stayed at Seven Hills Hotel for 4 nights in September 2024 and had the most wonderful time! The location is incredible — very walkable to a lot of big tourist sites in the historic Sultanahmet neighborhood, as well as having easy access to local public transit Istanbulkart stops. As two girls traveling alone, we felt VERY safe at this hotel as the staff were incredibly friendly and polite, spoke fluent English, and were very helpful when we had questions / wanted some recommendations. There were also 24/7 doormen welcoming guests (and keeping things safe). Although, I will say that Istanbul as a whole city was very safe. The hotel room was perfect sized with a nice bathroom, and we had an amazing view of both the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Also, the rooftop restaurant is awesome and easy to get reservations at when staying there. The surrounding area is very cute too, lots of stores and other restaurants/rooftops nearby. Overall we had the best time in Istanbul, and our hotel choice was definitely part of making our trip so great. I’d like to specifically shout out Ozan Jr. (the concierge that helped us every day), and Sinan, the wonderful doorman that was incredibly kind and provided a warm welcome “home” every time we got back to the hotel. Thank you everyone! Would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

The entire staff for Seven Hills went out of their way to help and take care of us from the time we arrived at their front door until the time we left. They arranged two separate tours for us at an extremely low price and we had a private guide all day to do whatever we wanted. And OMG the included breakfast was so unbelievably huge. There were at least 15 separate dishes served. If you book a stay here you will not be disappointed. A
