"The house is situated on a quiet street in a gated community. The house is MASSIVE. We walked in and couldn’t believe how huge the main living space is. There are 2 wings to the home and we had one family occupy 3 bedrooms on one side and the other family took the three in the other wing. The kitchen is great with everything you could need, including an ice machine. The outdoor space was truly spectacular. The covered veranda is huge with dining and chatting (and napping!) options. The veranda overlooks a fantastic pool and the ocean. While the waves are large and the beach isn’t great for swimming laps, it’s is so fun to bob in the waves and boogie board.. our kids had to be drug away from the waves to eat and exhausted themselves playing all day. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!"

"We traveled with another family and both had a wonderful time. The outdoor space and views of the ocean were amazing! Donnamarie and Daryl were helpful from day one. The roads were steep, but our small car did just fine. We even saw two monkey's as we drove up the driveway one afternoon. The pool was great and the door from the kitchen was our kids favorite. We had a peaceful week as we traveled to different beaches and enjoyed the pool each morning and evening! Highly recommend staying here!!"

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Villa Tamarind. Vincent, our host, was in touch with us from the very first contact with ways to make our planned trip smooth right from the moment we arrived at the airport. As the trip drew closer he was available to give us recommendations as we thought about activities and sought guidance on choices. Then we arrived... every thing was as it showed in the pictures - and more beautiful when you are actually standing there taking in the view and hearing only the sounds of the waves and the breeze blowing through the palms.The villa is well stocked from the kitchen, to bedding and towels, the patio and pool deck and grill options too. Truly everything we could have needed.The location is as described - the larger towns with many small towns in between are a short drive away. And you can easily walk to Dawn beach or Gibbs bay and even Guana bay.The welcome booklet also contained many great recommendations for restaurants (lunch and dinner), beaches, activities.... He and his team have thought of everything. Thanks Vincent and Rose and Alix and the rest of the team!"

"Wonderful private site off the busy areas. Right next to the pool and quick walk to a beach that was almost deserted MostOf the time. Only twenty two minute drive to our favorite beach at orient bay. Would love to go back, maybe next year."

"Good:Beautiful deck, ocean view and steady windsNew appliances (stove and dishwasher)Nicely furnishedPictures, for the most part, accuratePrivate, isolated settingResponsive owner - quickly addressed multiple problemsBad:Tortuous path/driveway getting to the unit - an oversized mound of cracked, busted, deep pocketed cement to navigate the last 150-200 yards to unit. Owner claims no responsibility for this, as it’s owned by the state. Heads up would be nice. Recommend 4 WD vehicle. Owners friend stayed in the unit underneath us and used the neighboring apt. complex to park his car. New stove not properly installed. Max, the handyman discovered a crimped plastic gas line. New dishwasher never worked properly. May have something to do with water pressure which fluctuates 50-70% if someone else in the villa using it - or even the unit below us using their DW or shower.Drainage poor throughout the unit - Pipes gurgled day and night indicating poorly vented and clogged P valves (or U-traps).Day 1, Max indicated a small drip under kitchen sink, 8-10 days later reported terrible odor coming from this area. Days later hot water line blew open, spewing hot water all over the kitchen. Max fixed the next day. No reading lamps in the bedrooms.Ugly:When privately told of our experience and concerns, Owner threatened to contact VRBO and falsely accuse us of unfounded charges. What a shame.This property is a Works in Progress"
