Hotel communal areas are nice but beware the rooms
Whilst the location of the hotel was convenient for us to attend a meeting and the restaurant/lobby area was pleasant, this stay and experience was unfortunately let down by the terrible state of the room. This part of the hotel is not only out dated in decor but poorly maintained and dirty. There were rotten door frames, stained carpets, black mould and cigarette burns on the sheets. The heating/fan system is also very old and noisy so it was a choice between using the climate control and being disturbed by the noise or being cold overnight

Well located hotel
Professional and friendly welcome at check in. Room ready as expected. Good location for the university campus and around a 30 minute walk/5 min drive from the railway station. Entrance is fresh and modern but rooms are more functional with both bedrooms and bathrooms probably due an update.

Overpriced and Under whelming.
Reception area and eateries new, inviting and clean. Rooms are the opposite. Threadbare carpets along corridors. Rooms bare and unhomely. Stained pillow case and towel. Bathroom needs deep clean. Build ups of mould and dirt in many areas. Not impressed. Charged extra for parking - not advertised on Hotel.com website- just reads parking available. Pool nice. Fitness suite - machines need a good clean.

We called the hotel the day before to make sure I had a double bed. When I arrived i got checked in to 2 single beds. It was rectified. My room was old, carpet was quite dirty, bathroom was really bad and when I opened the curtains the next morning the were very dirty and mouldy. It totally didn’t reflect at the rest of the hotel as it was recently renovated but seems the rooms haven’t. So disappointed.

Excellent hotel, we will be back again
I had a grear stay with my two teenage daughters. The room was large wirh a big rv rhat had netflix so they could watch their programmes. We also used the gym which was a good suze with all the equipment you would expect. We didnt use the pool but did see it and it looked very nice and clean. You could feel the heat of the pool walking past. Breakfast was delivered to the room. It was still very hot and the selection was really good. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again.

When using it for buisness the most important part is the receipt. I was late this morning so i said please email me ghe receipt. Id updated my email on check in. No receipt. I called 4 hours later. 8 hours later still no receipt. Fumin. Hotels that cant email a feckin receipt, useless.
