1} I booked two rooms with my own credit card. And I put my son's name on each room. I checked in with one my son who shared the room with me and my wife while my other son flied in the following day. There was no problem with our check-in as I was with my son. However, the next day, as our other son's flight was quite late in the evening, when I tried to check in our second room at around 3 pm the front desk refused me doing so saying the room has to be checked in by my other son only as it was under his name. I asked them why as the room was booked by me using my credit card. They still insisted NO. I thought that was unreasonable. 2} We hired a 6 men caravan but the hotel's parking is terrible. the driveway going up the building has only a single lane and is ridiculously narrow. Each time when we go up or down we need to be very very slow and move the car left and right in order not hitting the side walls. And parking spots are very limited. 3} Although our rooms supposed to be on the renovated building the carpet floor was uneven, the bathroom facilities are not renewed. 4} The hotel only provides bath towels while other Waikiki hotels we stayed in before provide beach umbrella and beach chairs. 5} I don't want to commend on their swimming pool and hot tub. 6} The best encounter was the room service lady. She was really nice keeping our rooms and providing new supplies everyday

Check in was a really fast. Workers at front desk where very nice and answered all our questions. We were on the 16th floor city view, room was spacious and our house keeper was very friendly and did an amazing job keeping up with our room. Hotel is only 2 blocks from the beach and downtown Waikiki

Luna Towers is so outdated, old carpet, noisy and going to the parking is very narrow and kind of pricey. Stayed for 5 days and elevators was down the whole time.

The elevators kept going out of service. Huge safety issue and risk when traveling with a mom in her mid 60s and a baby niece. Ridiculous trying to get them up and down the stairs along with a stroller and luggage. A kitchenette has no kitchen. It’s just a mini fridge with a microwave. Our rooms were not renovated and they were UGLY. Beds were hard. There is no protection from noise. You can hear EVERYTHING going on outside.

Enjoyed staying here. I thought the location was great. We were walking distance to a McDonald’s, Ross, and Starbucks. Not right next to the beach but we did walk to it. Parking on site we didn’t have any problems. Rooms were clean, bathroom is small. Very friendly staff. Laundry is 4.25 a load. Make sure you upper dryer because it dries faster than lower. I would definitely stay here again.

During our recent 7 nights stay at Waikiki Malia, I found the accommodations to be a mixed experience. There were notable issues regarding cleanliness, particularly with the bath tub which appeared dirty all throughout our stay. Despite reporting the matter to the front desk for so many times, no action was taken to address the problem until our departure day. The majority of the staff members did not show the expected Hawaiian hospitality vibes especially the self-proclaimed manager on duty, a big Caucasian guy who showed a lack of friendliness and rudeness. As guests, we recommend improving cleanliness standards and fostering a warmer atmosphere among staff to better reflect the renowned hospitality of Hawaiian culture.
