Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only a few minutes from city center by cab. Very good food at the hotel dining room. Excellent place to stay at a modest price.

Nice hotel for a good price
We stayed at this hotel two times and it's a great hotel for a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly, the room is clean and the breakfast was a good add to the staying. One minus is that the rooms are not smoke free.

Attentive hotal
Overall, the City Club is a lovely hotel, cosy, quiet and private and out of town. Staff very friendly and service I received was first class form everyone. Alas, without a Russian speaker I was reluctant to head in to the city unaccompanied and thus, one became a bit trapped in the hotel as not much to see during a walk around the surrounding suburb. Hotel room was excellent size and wonderful value fo rmoney. Bathroom was a little cramped in the bath, taking a shower as ceiling was low, no bracket for the shower head so showering was not "hands free".

Nice hotel
I stayed overnight and I chose it because it was close to the airport. The room was small but it was clean, the staff was very nice and it met all of my expectations. I would stay there again if I am ever staying in Kharkov.

City Club Hotel Kharkiv
Excellent hotel, great food in the restaurant, staff very friendly, it is not "in" the city, but close to the airport. The number 119 bus goes right by the hotel and will take you all the way into town and Freedom Square. Cost for the bus is 2.50 UAH which is really cheap, but in rush times you will likely stand all the way into town. But it is a lot better than 50 UAH for a taxi, or more if you get a taxi driver who will charge you lots more if you let him. Excellent quality for the price, if I am traveling on business here, I would stay here, or even on a budget it is a great place to stay.

City Club Hotel Kharkov
I was really impressed by this hotel. City Club is close to both the airport and the city center. Rooms are clean and spacious, plus you get complimentary breakfast and free wifi all around. The staff members are very friendly, speak good English and are ready to help you all the time. Being a frequent traveler to Eastern Europe, I can say that City Club is by far one of the best hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Kharkov.

Good Airport Hotel
Hotel is very close to Kharkov airport, but there is not much around if you want to walk. I had an early morning flight and it took less that 10 minutes to reach the airport.

City Club Hotel, Kharkov Ukraine--GREAT VALUE!!
True, this is not The Georges Cinq in Paris, The Pierre in NYC, The Grand Hotel in Stockholm...but I would put it up against any hotel in the world for value received per dollar expended. The City Club Hotel in Kharkov is just a short taxi ride from the airport....less than ten minutes. It is another 10-15 minutes by taxi to many of the places of historic interest. Kharkov is, at present (October, 2011) readying itself to put it's best face forward for an international soccer competition being held in 2012; thus many, not all, of the streets are under repair. This leads to traffic gridlock in many major arteries leading into the center of the city and other attractions of interest. The room I was given was clean but small. The bar of soap in the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen at any hotel, and that's saying a lot. Still, the room was clean and functional. The food in the dining room will not remind you of Maxim's, but it was edible and nutritious to this American palette. In the various categories this survey asked me to rate, the not included is one of the categories which sets this hotel apart. That category, if included, would be entitled "Friendliness Of Staff". In that category, I would have given all members of this small hotel top ratings. In fact, their attitude reminds mea little of Avis's old advertising campaign "We know we're #2, so we try harder." What really separates this hotel from many others across the Continent is the rates it charged. I suppose I misunderstood Hotels.com what I was going to pay for my three nights at the City Club. I thought I was going to pay X Euros, Dollars, Grivnas for each night of my stay, and I was willing to pay that. If there was a mistake made, you can imagine my delight when I discovered that my entire stay at the hotel cost me what I was prepared to spend per night. This little hotel is nothing more than a three-star hotel with a very friendly, hospitable, English-speaking staff. And the rates charged were much less than I have been charged for similar accommodations in Europe and post-Soviet countries. In short, it's a great value, and I would not hesitate to stay there on other visits to Kharkov, if any.
