Beautiful Christmas breakaway.

I have no idea at all how people are rating this? Has no one ever stayed at a true 4/5 star hotel? There is black mould in the tile grout? What excuse could he possibly put forward to not have this cleaned? It’s so so bad. I get decor, I get the age of the property, I get all of the authenticity. Basic general cleanliness and hygiene doesn’t cost anything.

Unfortunately really just mediocre. We loved the location and history of the hotel but the service , food and amenities was just okay. A real lack of attention to detail.

A True Gem in Killarney
I stayed here with my wife and toddler while the hotel was undergoing a renovation. Not only did we not notice the renovation - it was one of the nicest stays of our entire trip. The room was spacious, giving us plenty of space to spread out. There were even some extra things I didn't expect, for example a toddler sized rocking chair in our room, and a putting green. The hotel staff was attentive, accommodating, and extremely friendly. The hotel was clean, quiet, in a great location. I would love to stay here again someday!

Beautiful hotel but check in was bit bumpy. Arrived late but no staff to assist with bags and real confusion on valet options for car. Staff was friendly enough but did not seem to understand the process. Just a tick off our experiences at other fine Irish hotels. Just needs to button up their procedures a bit!

The Great Southern Killarney is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL property! The staff is OUTSTANDING ~ so friendly, so helpful, and very polite. They go above & beyond their "job descriptions" if that makes sense. LOL!
