It was a great place. Too bad the Beach access was under construction. Breakfast was awesome. The only complaint was the noise on the forth floor when the restaurant moves all the bottles (garbage)around 10:00 pm This is a place I would go back to again.

The hotel is clean, daily maid service, right next the boardwalk and free parking. The restaurant has a great view of the sea. The area doesn't look that great when entering due to an abandon apartment but it's a great location to explore the grottos with an amazing sunset and sunrise. Don't bother to upgrade with a view, can't really see it.

Pretty good for a basic hotel. Staff is helpful. You only get one bottle of drinking water per stay. No in-room coffee maker or microwave. Ambient lighting could be improved. Rooftop pool is lovely but over chlorinated. Breakfast offerings are plentiful. Right next to picture-perfect Algarve beach. Deposit required for beach towels. Good spot and a nice walk to the old town and extensive boardwalk.

Great Location for Beaches
This was a great hotel for the beaches in this area and for walking along the boardwalk. Price was reasonable for the Faro area. We did not get great beach weather so that was not so good. It was a bit of a walk to get to the old city and the Marina, so we mostly took Ubers. There is not a lot around the hotel and several restaurants close by were closed or not open all the time. The rooms were nice and big enough. We had a great view of the ocean and beach area. The bed was very comfortable and the heating/cooling system worked great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room service was very good. The breakfast was good and the main restaurant was very good as we had supper there twice. We did not use the pool or rooftop restaurant as the weather was not warm enough.

We were only there 2 nights at the end of October. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast with lots of options.

The area surrounding the hotel is great and beautiful. One of our room had issues with the key pad, and they were not able to resolve the issue and did not compensate us for the inconvenience. We were there for two nights. They did not offer us a room change until the day we were leaving.

We spent a week at the Carvi and found it relaxing. The staff was great, the rooftop restaurant was wonderful, the pool area was fun and the snack bar personnel were outstanding. We had a little difficulty with the air conditioning, but once we figured it out, we were fine.

Amazing location right next to praia dona ana, and the long board walk trail. We stayed in a junior suite and I highly recommend this room type. Large balcony and beautiful ocean views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. About 20 minute walk to downtown Lagos. Would stay here again. 10/10.

Worth the money!
We thought this place was excellent for the price but do not want to give 5 stars and mislead people to think it is fancy. The location is excellent, the breakfast is good, the rooms are decent. The beach is right there and gorgeous and you can walk for miles on the trail leaving the parking lot. We would stay here again.
