Easy and efficient check-in. Room was very clean and spacious with well-renovated bathroom. Loved the high ceiling. Some corridor noise with guests coming in and out the front door. Convenient walking distance to shops, restaurants and City Park.

Waratah on York is one of my favourite places to stay in Launceston. Beautiful, large rooms, comfortable beds, sensational showers & wonderful staff. Close enough to walk everywhere - just be warned, it is on a hill!

A lovely old building. We had the spa bath room. Next time I’ll ditch the bath and ask for a room with a view. Check in person was lovely and competent. Room was clean and nice, not modern but that’s ok we knew that when booking. I would say to anyone who has mobility issues to be aware it is positioned at the top of a steep hill… so if you’re planning to walk to shops etc you will need to have reasonable fitness to get up and down the stairs or pathways.

Excellent stay
A beautiful old heritage listed Victorian style mansion is located a few minutes walk to downtown Launceston. Take the road down to park and stroll into town. Panoramic views from our room and a spa in the bathroom.
