Dreadful!!! We have had marvelous experiences at other B&B's throughout the United Kingdom but our experience at The Moats B&B was absolutely awful and bizarre at the same time. We had travelled to Ledbury for a wedding celebration and pre-paid for a 4 night stay at the property. This property only allows you to check in between 6-8 PM, and on our first night we had a rehearsal dinner to attend and so were not able to check in. A sign at the property said that it was "closed" from 10 AM to 6 PM so we went the next morning at around 9 AM to try to check in or at least drop our bags off and get a key so we could access our room. The owner refused to even open the door for us, but told us from a second story window that we could only check in at the specified 6-8 PM time slot and that we could not drop off bags or even enter the property. She strongly encouraged us to look for alternative accomodations while also affirming that she would not offer us any refund for our booking. Hotels.com also was unable to offer us a refund, which is obviously disappointing. We have never encountered someone that was so inconsiderate, unwelcoming, inflexible, uncooperative, and openly hostile towards their customers. Why she is in the hospitality business is beyond me, but if you are looking for a place to stay I would steer clear of The Moats B&B. If you do choose to stay at this property please do not pre-pay, as there will be no possibility of a refund!!!
Lovely location, lovely landlady. Friendly and welcoming. Big bed, nice shower. Off the beaten track, but close to beautiful places to visit for the day - Ledbury is a delight.

We liked the quiet old world feel of the prpoerty and the owner was very friendly and helpful. What was not so good was the twin room was minute and cramped. Details about this side of the the prpoerty are not clear on the website. Overall we understood the limitations of the cottage and didn't let that spoil our stay.
The basic single room is a death trap waiting to happen and as such has been reported to the Local authority and the Fire Authority. Although the description says no window you are not made aware that you need to crawl through a 2ft hatch to get in . I have video evidence if you would like to contact me. As such should a fire happen you would not escape. Don't put your life at risk. I then asked if I had everything paid when i left and was told yes to then be harrassed days after saying I had not paid and she made a mistake, when i then wanted to check with my credit card company she threatened with CCJS. This is not the behaviour of a reasonable person. Stay safe avoid the Moats
I just have to say Fiona and her partner made our welcome most enjoyable. Very hospitable breakfast was lovely. Real warm and homely. So clean I would 1000% stay again ❤️❤️
The B&B is in a gorgeous location with plenty of wildlife on the grounds much of which you can watch whilst having breakfast. The host is friendly and I will be happy to stay again in the future.
Twin bedroom far to small for two people. Should be made clear that bathroom and toilet are shared facilities with another guest bedroom. Would not have booked if known in advance.
Wonderful hostess in Fiona, but really need to be fully aware of the facilities prior to visit. Tiny room, no telly, no wifi, no en suite - bathroom shared with other guests and household. all very cramped. No decaff, or fresh fruit, or semi skimmed milk - breakfast very basic.
Bit awkward going to bathroom when hadn't brought any pyjamas! But..... having said that, Fiona is wonderful, totally welcoming and a joy to breakfast with. Other guests were delightful and breakfast turned into a joyful social occasion.
If you are looking for a quiet quaint cottage in rural surroundings with a hospitable and interesting hostess.... this is the place to be. Fiona and Maddy provide a warm welcome to their delightful cottage.l loved it and would stay there again if in the area.... great value!
Beautiful thatched 400 year old cottage with lovley features and well furnished and decorated.
Nice gardens and very clean home. Fresh flowers and a very nice breakfast layout in the kitchen.
Great location if you like the countryside. Nice pub a 2 minute drive.
Would recommend reading check in instructions as only a two hour window to check In which is tight when you are traveling.
You are sharing a bathroom and toilet with room next door and doors are old so can hear movement from next room.
Take your own shampoo and shower gel as there was none provided.
All in all a great stay great value and gorgeous property.
Booked last minute as work plans had changed , great communication with the hostess Fiona, very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble, property is a lovely thatched cottage in the heart of the country , ample continental breakfast in the morning , stunning scenery , even had woodpeckers on the bird feeder outside my bedroom window as a wake up alarm , definitely stay again when passing by
