I wanted to like this place as it seemed fine but I witnessed a huge rat go from the lobby near the elevator( maybe coming out of the side of the elevator ) running straight into the restaurant under the tables of unsuspecting people and while i pointed it out to one of the front desk people who also saw it (I am pretty sure), they didn’t alert the people in the restaurant. I almost did but was running late …Also the breakfast was pretty bad for the price point, dinner barely better,decent wine list…close to the tube which is a plus, but otherwise doubtful i will ever stay here again bc of the vermin issue. ————- pls note the manager responded to me on another site and tried to gaslight and intimidate me about what i saw: it was not a mouse lol. I am not new to london, or cities and know the difference btwn a london city mouse and a bonafide rat. it was a rat. rats have no business in the elevators nor restaurant lol. Pls for the love of god, get a new exterminator.

Second time staying at this hotel and it was as perfect as the last time. This time we tried the breakfast which didn't disappoint - looking forward to the dinner next time. Extremely accomodating staff that facilitated a request of mine with ease, and also being able to reach them so easily at any time is a plus. Definitely my regular stop for London trips.

Our Stay at New Road Hotel
We had a great time at New Road Hotel. They allowed us to upgrade to a larger (top floor), it was a bit pricey but at this point in our travels we really enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub. The restaurant was very nice, well staffed, and efficient.

Lovely concierges, room spot on, very good quality for money. Then found a game room with arcade games and a pool table, all for free. That really is added value I was not expecting, made me feel so relaxed and willing to go back again

Staff lovely but hotel a let down
Staff were lovely and really helpful. Hotel itself is in a less than desirable area and as a solo female I didn’t really feel safe. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and the handles on the showers both came off in my hand and they were filthy. The worst part though was that the rooms aren’t soundproofed so it’s SO noisy from both above and both sides. Wouldn’t recommend it you want to get a good night’s sleep.
