Fantastic location but apartment needs a makeover

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was in an excellent location with lovely harbour views. The main bedroom was very spacious with a good sized ensuite and walk in wardrobe. The bed had a very firm mattress which the guests found uncomfortable. 2nd bedroom was very small, the bed took up most of the space but the mattress was comfortable. Unfortunately neither of the bedrooms were air-conditioned. There were 2 portable fans in the cupboards but they were both broken so our first night was not good due to the heat. After lodging a complaint, 2 working fans were provided the next day and they helped somewhat with the air circulation. Kitchen was well equipped and there was a large dining table. The second bathroom was big and had a bathtub, shower and toilet. There was a dated vinyl couch in the living room. Dust & dirt on shelves etc and the carpet had stains. The air con in the living room was very efficient and we could also open the balcony door and enjoy the fresh air. We noted the 2 fire doors located in the corridor closest to our apartment were both locked and our keys did not open them. In my opinion this could potentially be a 5 star apartment if it was given a makeover. The fabulous location could not be faulted

Very spacious, really liked the furnishings. Nice and clean. Well stocked with tea, coffee and bathroom supplies. Loved the coffee machine. Fabulous views. The bed was the best l have ever slept in while away from home. Thank you so much for a great experience. Will definitely be back.

The location was great but the apartment could do with some maintenance. Our apartment had ducted aircon but there were no vents in the bedrooms which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. This was not specified in the details for the apartment and if I had known there was no aircon in the bedrooms I would have booked elsewhere.

Loved how handy it was to everything by tram once we figured out the tram system. The nice clean property with great amenities and great communication from staff as we checked in after hours had a great trip there and can’t wait 2 go back. Ty.

Short Melbourne stay beautiful outlook and everything you need in the unit but I can’t do stairs and there were a lot from the car park and then to our room. The advertised accomodation appeared to be much better quality. The place could do with maintenance. The hair dryer has died. The main shower continues to drip through the night. Needs a paint. Window latches are at end of its life and windows don’t seal. Very limited cooking facilities for a serviced apartment. Some of the PowerPoints are cracked. The washing machine was extremely dirty which we had to clean mould from it. It makes a horrible noise like it's about to take off. Not to mention we needed to drag our bags several hundred metres. There was no mention of this. They requested feedback which was provided but no follow up or action. The area around docklands used to be more active and vibrant but now dead with many eateries closed. There was a concert at local stadium with sound coming through and bedroom was right next to lift which you could hear through the night. The best part is the foyer and tram service close by. It's not worth the price and won’t be staying there again.

Loved our stay!

The apartment is well equipped and has pretty much everything you need for cooking. The washing machine and dryer were super helpful while we were away, it meant we had to pack less! The apartment felt clean when we arrived and was mostly in good repair. The checkin process was pretty easy, although the office closes at 6pm not 7pm as stated on the hotels.com website. Over the stay we did not have any house keeping which wasn’t too big of a deal for us but it did mean we had to wash our towels a few times, as we only were given 6 and there were 4 of of us. I definitely recommend packing or purchasing washing machine powder, dishwasher tablets, shampoo and body wash as you only get a small amount when you first arrive and it didn’t last us longer than 3 days. Again not a big deal but something to keep in mind. Overall the apartment was good. The view is amazing and the location is really good and is only a very short walk from everything you could need. If we were to come to Melbourne again, we know where we would be staying!

Check in was welcoming and easy. We were grateful for the flexibility around our arrival time. The place however was aged and needed a deep clean. Old socks under the bed, an unusable shower head (we had to shower in a water dribble), general rubbish hidden in some areas, and dusty. Needs a spruce up!
