Not all impressed with the lobby decor nor cleanliness. Elevators and hallways are quite shabby and in need of paint, lighting and new carpets. Our room is not air conditioned and it is 77 degrees in here; staff suggested we open a window. On 7th Avenue in New York City! I chose this hotel for the location to the theatre we were attending. NOT as pictured on Travelocity. AND, I was charged twice for incidentals on my credit card, after I prepaid for my stay on Travelocity. Staff were very good. Hotel is not great. Disappointed.

Okay...A few things...I have stayed at Hotels all over the States...It seems as if NY is the only state I have encountered that charges a fee ON TOP of the taxes and Hotel Taxes...This took me for a loop. I thought maybe it was just this Hotel, but I found out it is basically all in NYC. That being said, this Hotel is SMACK, Dab in the Middle of every Tourist's dream, Mid-Town, near Theater and Times Sq. They give you a voucher for a grab and go breakfast here. I was on the newly refurbished 19th floor. The room was very adequate. The walls are very thin ( you could hear a lot from the hallway). My only gripe is that the Hot water (shower) is terrible. I tried to take a decent shower at many different hours to no avail. Construction begins, on adjacent floors at about 8:30 am...I think a strong 3 1/2 stars. BTW: MAUREEN was the housekeeper on my floor. She was absolutely wonderful. She works so hard, yet she went out of her way to get me little room amenities I was lacking (shower gel, moisturizer, big towel).

Overall I have rated this hotel one star due to terrible environment in the hotel. We stayed there four days and two of them they had sign in front of the hotel “SHAME HOTEL OF MANHATTAN”. Our cell phone was stolen, heater was not working properly by making terrible sound, floor ice and water machine for the floor we stayed wasn’t fixed even though we told them couple time… But bed was clean, staff seemed welcoming. That is a reason I think they deserve one star not zero.

This was a total bait and switch. I don't know where they got the photos listed on the site, but that's not the hotel we stayed at. The old wallpaper was peeling, the sink leaked, the stub didn't drain, the walls a PAPER thin, the paint was gashed everywhere, the door didn't open or close reliably, and it just felt really rundown. It was not representative of the price we paid to stay there, even given the location. Other hotels in the area are similarly priced, but their renovations are complete. The final straw for us was being told there was no lobby restroom available when we headed down to go to the airport. They've also got stop work orders posted everywhere, so I wouldn't bet on renovations being finished soon.

Everything about this hotel was disappointing and terrible!!!!!!!!!! Be cautious, as the photos are misleading and appear to be AI-generated. The property is outdated and unclean, and the staff, including the concierge, is rude and unwelcoming. Avoid paying for breakfast—it’s just an apple and terrible coffee. To make matters worse, the hotel has withheld my security deposit and additional money without any explanation.

This is nowhere close to a 4 star hotel. I would give it a 2 star at best. Very dirty throughout the entire building including the rooms. Maids came in and woke us up even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door. They also cleaned the room with a do not disturb sign on the door. We felt like they invaded our property. All around terrible experience.

THE ROOM SHOWN IN YOUR APP AS “ PREMIUM ROOM ON THE MANHATTAN FLOOR” - which shows a second room doesn’t match the room they had they didn’t have available the room with kingg bed and gave me one with double bed (didn’t adjust the price either) They told me the room you show is actually a suite and wasn’t what I paid for They blamed Expedia and told me if I had reserved directly that wouldn’t have happened
