The room was very warm and turning on the AC didn’t really cool down the room. There were stains on the walls and on the fabric of the bench. The shower curtain smelled of mold and the sleep wear provided smelled of old set in smoke from smokers. Location of the hotel is good but for the price, I would look to stay elsewhere.
AC did not work. The room was 26c and humid. I asked about the ac and they gave us a fan. The last night they said they turned on the AC but it didn’t cool the room. Still at 26c
The hotel was easily accessible to Kyoto station and within a short walk, which made it easy to arrive via train and see the city. The hotel is nice, but I would say slightly on the dated side, but is well maintained and the staff very attentive. The hotel had a lot of guests that were part of tour companies traversing Japan so the occupancies were quite full on the nights we stayed there. Overall, I would recommend the hotel based on the value and accessibility to Kyoto station, and would stay there again in the future.
