Renovated hotel but service in all areas is lacking. Took over an hour to get a bowl of soup in the restaurant. Coffee bar does not take room charge or cash or American Express. Please beware check out per person takes over 10 minutes. Room smells like Clorox and we had no hot water in the shower. During the day, the area is very safe, but after the cruise ships leave and the store is closed. Please be careful.

When we checked in the room that we were given based on our reservation through, Expedia wasn’t the room that was pictured in the reservation. After some haggling with the manager, I was upgraded to the correct room at no charge, which was nice. Although there are a few restaurants on the property, I would say the food is average and overpriced. The outside amenities and location are outstanding.

Expedia did not list the $50 resort fees required to stay at this location. The room ended up costing $50 more than listed price per night on Expedia. This is totally unsat! I will never book with Expedia again.

Not worth the money

Ok. But not worth the money. Charge for upgrading anything. Location is in downtown and total tourist trap. The beaches are better on paradise island. Drinks and food outrageously expensive here.

Beautiful facility! Staff was super friendly and accomodating! Convenient location - close to all that downtown Nassau has to offer. Truly a 5 star facility! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Due to the nature of my visit I had to stay several days at another hotel - once I got to British Colonial, I truly felt like I was on vacation!

Beautiful Hotel and Great location. I would definitely recommend. I love the private beach and pool area. Only negative thing is that the food and drinks are very pricey and not many kid-friendly items on the menu. Our family enjoyed this hotel so much that we have re-booked.
