I recently stayed at The Graduate Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The highlight of my stay was Christina, the very kind and thoughtful Hotel Manager. She was incredibly informative about where to park our vehicle and provided clear directives, which made our arrival much smoother.
However, it's important to note that there is no valet service at this hotel. The streets around the hotel are quite tight, so you will need to drive to a parking lot and walk back to the hotel. This wasn't a major issue, but it's something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage or are arriving late at night.
One thing to keep in mind is that the entrance of the hotel has stairs. If you haven't packed light, you'll find yourself lugging your baggage up a flight of steps to get to the main lobby. This can be a bit of a hassle if you're not prepared for it.
Additionally, the hotel does not offer a free breakfast. The only breakfast option available consists of pastries that you can purchase. While they were tasty, I did miss having a more substantial breakfast included with my stay.
On a positive note, all the staff at The Graduate were very kind and accommodating, which made my stay more enjoyable. The location is also a major plus, as it is conveniently situated within walking distance to Yale University, making it an excellent choice for anyone visiting the campus, and they accept pets which is a big plus.
