The only problem we had was with parking and that was pretty self induced. I only mention it in. Are someone else does what I did. We got in late so the valet gate was closed. I should have asked when I called about how that would have worked. But I pulled off onto the side of street, my husband walked in and they sent the person out to open the gate and park our car. The hotel was great. We didn’t get rooms with a view but that’s ok. It felt very French Quarter. I love staying in well kept older places. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The last day I went down to the cafe because it was raining. I was not impressed. The floor was filthy, the food was mediocre, but the coffee I had was pretty good. I only ate there because it was raining and didn’t want to join the men at the museum. Much better to go out and explore for breakfast like we did on previous days.

Walking distance to Bourbon Street. As close as we were to Bourbon Street we didn’t hear much noise from the streets. Very quiet in our room.

A charming budget-friendly stay. Great location!
The location can’t be beat. In the heart of the French Quarter, you can walk to practically everything. We were here in January and got a great deal. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The balconies and the courtyard are charming. Get a room overlooking the courtyard if you can. Coffee shop and deli were convenient for grabbing yummy coffee, etc. There’s a bar as well—we didn’t go but people seemed to be enjoying it. To be clear, the place is not fancy or luxurious—the fixtures are a bit old but everything was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for bougie, stay elsewhere (and pay more). But for a great budget stay in a fabulous location!

Great hotel one block off the French Quarter. We enjoyed our stay here. Attentive and informative staff. Bar and restaurant was convenient. Right in the middle of the action Remember that it’s NOLA and if you don’t like noise then you should not stay close to the French Quarter

This was my first time in New Orleans, I’m really happy about my choice in staying at Hotel St. Marie. Above anything else the staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I would stay here again. But i didn't like that there wasn't a complimentary breakfast. I had to get up early most days. They even charged me for your water for a tea?? Most people were very friendly and helpful, but some of the women that worked the front desk couldn't really be bothered. One kept doing selfies at the mirror.
