I would stay here again in a pinch. The rooms are not sound proof however and the hotel does not offer ear plugs. Bring your own! There was a lot of street noise and noises from the hall with the other guests coming and going. The staff were not friendly, but did there job checking us in and providing clean up to the room.

Great location
Everything went well. Location was just perfect. Would have been nice if each room had coffee machines as you have to go down to the lobby to get your coffee in the morning. Wasn't offered the benefits stated by Hotels.com but I wasn't planning on using the voucher anyways so no biggie. I would stay again if on a solo trip on a short visit.

This is a really great hotel convenient to sights in Edinburgh. My only concern is with breakfast on the weekends. It was too busy for the number of people at the hotel and they couldn't keep up. Not a deal breaker, but of note if you need to get in and out for timing.

The room was reasonable but for the price paid it lacked a window. That was not a problem but it was not clear at the time of booking. One thing that the room lacked was light switches next to the bed. A pleasant stay but over priced.

The room needed to be clean. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly on first check-in. There was urine stains on the toilet seat, hair in the shower, dust on on the tub stand and right by the bed. Despite putting the “please clean” sign on the door Sunday, when we came back the room was not cleaned.
