We booked through a third party vendor for a 5-day/4-night stay, Deluxe Ocean View accommodation. We paid the additional fee with the understanding that we would have an actual view of the ocean, however our view as limited to the parking lot, shipping containers, and the roof of a retail store. We immediately complained to guest services at the front desk, thinking there was a mistake made, and was told we had to wait until Monday to speak with a reservations manager (even though we check out on Tuesday), and the hotel was at full capacity, so they could not move us. I went down to speak with a reservations manager this morning (Monday) only for her to say that the Deluxe Ocean view is just a partial view of the ocean. This is not what was advertised when payment was obtained, nor does the current view from the patio, offer any "ocean scene" at all! This trip was for husband and cousin's birthday, and my cousin and his wife were supposed to have a seaside view and they did not get that either. Not only were the accommodations falsely advertised, the entire stay was below par for this to be considered a 5-star resort. The resort itself is small, but seemed to have plenty of staff, so we did not understand why the service was slow at the bar, in the restaurants, wait service at the buffets, and little to no service at all was provided while we lounged on the beach. And then there was the food and drinks... neither were good.

Love the atmosphere, seaford restaurant was the best #1, pool, bartenders and the employees was the best. People was very friendly (great customer service). No face towels in rooms, no reimbursement for the hotel stay on date the flights was canceled. No room service for exclusive packages, pool hrs would have been nice to close around 9 or 10.and the entertainment could have lasted a little longer.

Very convenient for going out and connections. It's very noisy from playing music night time until late. Also music on the beach is very noisy. Swimming area is very small, surrounded with parked boats and speeding ski jets and boats. Very dangerous. I will no come back.

Food was ok. Mexican restaurant was terrible. Best was the hibachi restaurant.. you have to book your reservations same day you get there because they book up fast. It’s in the perfect location for walking to the main restaurants in town. Best part about our stay here was the beach area and hanging in the water during day. Rooms were very clean. Staff friendly. Italian restaurant was not good. I would recommend eating out a few nights. Food low quality. Front desk very helpful. Casino was small but ok. If you like BJ 15 min buy in. I recommend bringing your own float from amazing for water. They give you rafts but a plain tube float is perfect. Also bring an insulated cup to be reused for water / drinks. Drinks were ok arubarita. We had a partial ocean view room which looked at a parking lot towards the Hyatt hotel.. would chose a resort view over that. They had water aerobics and other activities. Gym was super small only a few treadmills no stairmaster. The shampoo smelt amazing.

The rooms were terrible. The hotel lobby was not well maintained. The property outside by the pool and beach were nice, but some of the chairs were broken so if you didn’t get out there early enough to claim the good ones, you were uncomfortable all day. We booked a room they had advertised as one that comfortably sleeps a family of four and our room had two full sized beds with barely enough room to even fit an additional roll away bed. We tried upgrading but they had no other options available. They also wouldn't let us book dinner reservations in advance but then when we got there and attempted to book reservations, we were told everything was booked up so we had limited options and we could only experience a few of the restaurants. We ended up eating off the resort one night because we didn’t want the buffet again, even though we paid for all inclusive. The whole place seemed poorly managed and maintained and for the amount we paid to stay there, it was not what we were expecting. We love Aruba and the staff there was amazing but overall, we were very disappointed with this resort and will never book with Barceló again.

Jazon and Willians provided great service at the Japanese and Italian restaurants. The resort can use an upgrade overall. Although the food was good, the buffett is timed and the ala carte restaurants require a reservation which can be inconvenient for someone on a different schedule. One of the best beaches to swim in. Lots of fun water sports to enjoy.
