We stayed @ Margarittaville last week. My fam, grandparents & I brought our kids to FL for 1st time.
MARGARITAVILLE was gorgeous- both resort & cottages. The pool =great, for small kids & adults.
We had a list as first time renters that were not ideal:
1- Check in is @4pm. We arrived early (12pm) due to early flights. We prechecked in & were told our room would be ready earlier, unfortunately it was not the case. By 4:40pm my family was growing very frustrated our unit= still not ready, esp with a 9 mos old & 2 yr old. Had my husband not been the squeaky wheel @the Rentyl Cottages desk, it probably would have been much later until we were told our unit was finally ready.
2-When we got to our unit, everything was in great condition except for 5 things:
-The entire main floor: We noticed that all of us had black, dirty feet. My 9month old & 2 yr old had black hands & knees. We realized that it was the units floors. We’d wash & immediately after, everything was black again. Very unhappy about this. My mother in law had to find a mop & clean floor herself.
-Our back sliding door lock=broken. No matter what we did it did not stay locked. It took HOURS for someone to come fix this.
-Our front entry door only locks from outside w/keycard. From inside my 2yr old pulled down the handle &easily walk into parking lot.
-Our fire alarm chirped all day
-Neighbors pool alarm went off for ours
Can NEVER get a hold of Rentyl front desk. Had to chase maintence staff down ourself.
